Traditional Schooling vs. Online Schooling

The age of technology is upon us! This new age of technology has opened our eyes to an age of broader horizons. One in which we have more options in choosing how we can achieve our goals. Going off to college is no longer every high school senior's thought or intention. Those seeking a higher education have the option to stay at home and obtain the same education they would if they went away to a college or university. But is it really the same? Can you really obtain every lesson from an online school that you would learn from traditional schooling? No, I don't think it's possible.
Traditional schooling may seem out-dated to my generation but it offers so much more than any online school could every hope to offer. Traditional schools give aspiring college students the opportunity to live on campus and have the ultimate college experience. My own personal experience has made me understand that college is a place for self discovery. It places at our feet pure opportunity. Opportunity to plug into an outlet to express ourselves, opportunity to realize our dream job, opportunity to fall in love, and opportunity to make lifetime human connections.
Online School gives you only the computer to sit in front of day after day. It fails to provide essential life lessons that can only be learned through physical experience. Although traditional school is more expensive it's worth it in the end. You pay for not only your education, room and board, and food expenses. But you're paying for the construction and birth of yourself into the you who you've envisioned yourself to be ever since you were a child desperately wishing you were all grown up. So, if you can commit yourself whole-heartedly to the experience, traditional schooling is the best option.
